Aconteceu hoje durante a noite, na Austrália, o ASP World Surfing Awards, e com a avançadissima tecnologia que temos hoje, foi tudo transmitido em directo, e eu, tive o prazer de ver hoje de manhã.

Os melhores surfistas do Mundo trocaram a vestimenta de praia por um traje bastante elegante, para uma noite de grande Glamour no surf.

Kelly Slater e Carissa Moore foram os grandes vencedores desta noite, recolhendo ambos o troféu de Campeões do Mundo de Surf.

Para além de terem sido honrados os Campeões do Mundo, também outros surfistas tiveram direito a troféus com votos por parte do público e dos fans, entre eles, Sally Fitzgibbons (rider DHD, claro, Michel Bourez, Gabriel Medina, Silvana Lima, Stephanie Gilmore (another DHD Rider), Julian Wilson, etc...
